Every Hotel Needs These Hangers! We travel for holiday or work and end up buying souvenirs, gifts for family members, or even items for self use. And sometimes, we end up with too many things to pack in our bags. The problem: excess baggage! WMcCann worked with The Salvation Army to turn this challenge into a donation opportunity. To enable people to donate their extra clothes that they may not need, WMcCann has given the traditional donation box a new-age makeover in a campaign gone live in São Paulo for the The Salvation Army. The Salvation Hanger initiative invites Sheraton Hotels & Resorts guests to hang excess clothing items on hangers as a donation to those who may need them the most. Beginning April, the initiative will place hangers with QR codes in the rooms of the participating hotels. On scanning, guests are taken to a site where they can read about the donation initiative and are invited to hang their excess clothes as a donation for the needy. Simple, effective and brilliant!! https://lnkd.in/dVb39GGT #dogood #sustainability #recycle #marketing #campaigns #CSR

Where my two favorite things in the world collide! Dogs and fitness 🐕 🏋️♀️ As an avid pit bull lover, this cause and this organization are very near and dear to my heart. Barbells for Bullies is based out of the metro Atlanta area where the pit bull population is out of control. Please consider donating and also joining my team to get some miles in rucking for the cause!! Rucking Away May - A Fitness Event for Spay/Neuter Initiatives This co-branded event is powered by Barbells For Bullies and GORUCK. The purpose of this event is to raise money and awareness for spay/neuter initiatives around the country. Every year, 1.2 Million dogs are euthanized in shelters. 1.2 Million. Every Year. That’s roughly the population of Dallas, TX. And over half of the dogs euthanized, are labeled “pit bull type” dogs. While we work to help all dogs, the reason we’re Barbells For Bullies is simple - bully breeds need our help. For every 1 pit bull type dog adopted, 599 perish. One way to stop this vicious cycle, aside from ending BSL and changing perceptions surrounding the “breed” - is to control the population via spay/neuter initiatives. Did you know? In just 6 years, one unaltered dog and their offspring can produce over 60,000 puppies. That’s enough dogs to fill every seat in Dodger Stadium. In six years. One dog… Aside from the various health and behavioral benefits, we can reduce the amount of animals entering shelters by proactively supporting low/no cost spay/neuter programs. All proceeds from this event will go towards various spay neuter initiatives around the US in high risk areas. To date, we spayed/neutered hundreds of dogs. MAKE SURE TO TAKE PICS OF YOUR AND YOUR PUP ON THE TRAIL AND TAG US ON SOCIALS TO BE FEATURED! @BARBELLSFORBULLIES, #RUCKYOURBALLSOFF

🔥 WILDFIRE RELIEF UPDATE & HOW YOU CAN HELP 🔥 I wanted to share an important update on our collective efforts to support those affected by the wildfires, following Adam Burke's leadership at Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board: The response has been incredible - within just 72 hours, the initial $25,000 matching goal was nearly met, leading LA Tourism to double their matching commitment to $50,000! Your generosity continues to make a direct impact through the American Red Cross Los Angeles Region relief efforts. Additionally, the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board DineLA Restaraunt Week program is moving forward as scheduled (January 24 - February 7), with a powerful initiative: For every Dine LA reservation made through www.dinela.com, LA Tourism will donate $5 to the American Red Cross, with Banc of California matching these contributions up to a combined total of $100,000. This is a wonderful opportunity to support both our local restaurants and wildfire relief efforts simultaneously. 👉 How you can help: 1. Make a direct donation that will be matched up to $50,000: https://lnkd.in/gJkDENaH 2. Make a Dine LA reservation (each generates a $5 matched donation): https://lnkd.in/gRf5idc Note: For those requiring emergency accommodations, while the Hotel Association of Los Angeles previously compiled a list of discounted rates, please contact hotels directly for current availability and rates as circumstances may have changed.
#WeLoveLA #DineLA #WildfireRelief As our community copes with the devastating impacts of the wildfires, the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board team is doing everything possible to support relief efforts. While so many of our local restaurants are still recovering from the impacts of the pandemic, it's been particularly inspiring to see their amazing resilience and generosity. Many restaurants have stepped up to support Angelenos impacted by wildfires, as well as first responders. In consultation with our restaurant community, we will be moving forward with Dine LA as scheduled from January 24 to February 7 - both to support their ongoing recovery and to offer Angelenos a meaningful way to support wildfire relief. For each Dine LA reservation made, LA Tourism will be donating $5.00 to the American Red Cross for their ongoing efforts, with a generous matching contribution from Banc of California, up to a combined total donation of $100,000. For complete details including a full list of participating restaurants, visit: https://lnkd.in/gRf5idc

April is National Volunteer Month, giving you the perfect opportunity to do good in the world whether you have an hour or an afternoon to spend helping others. Here are some fun ways to lend a hand and make an impact on your community: *Park Clean Up - Grab some bags and invite your pals to spend a few hours on trash duty at your favorite green space. *Donate Books - If you have books, magazines or other reading materials collecting dust, put them to good use and donate to a local school or library. *Meals on Wheels - Find a local organization that delivers meals to those in need and see how you can help. Additionally, if you have a friend or neighbor who needs access to food, contact the organization and assist with the paperwork. *Letter Writing – Show members of the military your appreciation with a handwritten letter thanking them for their service and sacrifice. Write a service member you know personally or check out an organization like Operation Gratitude. Include drawings from the youngest members of the family! *Animal Shelter - Help your local animal shelter by donating bags of food, walking animals or taking a dog or cat home for the weekend to give them a break from shelter life. #NationalVolunteerMonth #HelpingOthers #LendAHand
