Recently, I had the privilege to attend the Naveen Jindal School of Management, UT Dallas Internship and Job Fair, and I believe that as a junior, it was a fantastic opportunity to meet several employers and learn about the skills they are currently seeking. And most importantly, I got the opportunity to network with many people. I would like to extend my gratitude to all the employers who participated in the JSOM Career Fair and guided me, including Texas Instruments, Southwest Airlines, Charles Schwab and Toyota North America.
One key takeaway I would like to share with everyone is that whenever you have the chance, you should attend these internship and job fairs. It gives you a much better understanding of what employers are looking for in terms of skills and qualifications. Secondly, you should aim to meet as many employers as possible during these fairs because you never know when you might leave a lasting impression on someone that could benefit your career. You all should always keep your resume completely up to date, and I think the elevator pitch is a very important thing, so you should be prepared for that. For the elevator pitch, you can take guidance from your mentor or friend, anyone.
