Today we celebrate transit operators and workers. Whether you're behind the wheel, on the tracks, in stations, maintenance garages or behind the scenes making it all happen, what you do matters. As transit operators and workers, you deliver a critical service and your work is so very important. Since joining Metrolinx, I've had seen firsthand your passion and your dedication. This organization is fortunate to have such remarkable skill, talent and potential. Our mission is to connect communities and to get our customers where they need to go safer, faster and easier. Each of you play a very critical role in this. From daily operations to capital milestones to payments transformation and advancement across all of our supportive functions, every day we are making relentless progress and it is you that makes it all possible. Today, I hope that you can take a moment to recognize the positive impact you're making across our communities and for future generations. On behalf of Metrolinx, you have my sincere thanks and gratitude for everything you do each and every day to keep our communities safe and moving. And I want to recognize that a filmed video from the CEO really only starts to appropriately convey the gratitude of our organization and that of the people of Ontario. But I hope to soon have the opportunity to thank many of you in person. It is an absolute privilege to work alongside you. Happy Transit Operator and Worker Appreciation Day.
