Really interesting workshop about benefits of medium format and particularly IIQ Format. Interesting a lot of what they talk about the same also applies for close range or ground based photgrammerty too, #Fuji, #Hassleblad and #Phaseone of course when we have really tricky light conditions for documenting #heritage and #forensic sites in particular. It’s one thing to dclaument a artefact in a light controlled studio but teh reak fun comes capturing stuff outside when light changes by the second.. The camera is one thing, how many Mb pixels you can get impacts stand off distance of course, but key to most project success is maximising the quality for all images you input into I ANY photogrammerty software and to do that you need to look at the dymanic range capabilities of the sensors. Its not so mcuh shadows that kill the workflow but sunshine and over exposure, clipping your GCPs and creating nasty holes with no data. How to fix that? I know a man ;-) Love what SIM Active are doing to help educate the market and introduce newbies into the art and science of photogrammetry

My top tip for 2025? Same as it’s been forever. Treat and talk to your customers, clients, visitors, exhibitors, ICPs, ICAs (whatever term you’re using) like the actual human people they are. Sure, it takes a bit more work, a bit more empathy and a bit more thinky thinky than broadcast mass market messaging. So much more satisfying (and profitable) for all involved.

Really interesting PLM slides of the german pope of PLM Martin Eigner Thanks for posting the complete deck, sharing is caring 🙏 I recently met Markus Meier from Arena PLM. Key take away I want to share: For me PLM was long time an unwanted third management system next to PDM and ERP. Again with the need of proper connectors to persue the Single source of truth concept. Markus Meier gave me a great insight of using PLM tools to manage the second and third lifes of products (i.e. Refurbishing an eBike, a taxi, using the batteries for energy-storages...). Then my mind really started opening to PLM, because this can reduce waste and generate more value, just with more proper management. 😎🙌🚀
