Want a quick, realtime way to tell who is doing better in Tuesday's debate? Listen to the words far less + watch candidate emotions and audience reactions far more. Rookies listen to the policy pronouncements, don't be a rookie. Many political races have been lost for poor emotional management on the debate stage than won for debating points. I'll spare you the list. Listen less and watch more. For a policy position to be the takeaway, it has to be a whopper. The example of Jerry Ford saying there was "no Soviet occupation of Eastern Europe" is one of the few policy lines that moved the mark: https://lnkd.in/eHRRhxdz For the confirmation of an existing perception, a debate can be damning [e.g. Biden might have been too old].

You’re gonne miss us, when we’re gone! John Bolton, in this episode of BBC’s HardTalk, makes it clear that he will not vote for either of the two leading U.S. presidential candidates. He states that neither represents his values. Regarding Vice President Harris, he criticizes her as a Californian Democrat who, in his view, places blame on America’s “America First” approach. As for Donald Trump, Bolton believes he poses a danger to the U.S., predicting that if Trump were re-elected, Ukraine would be “toast” and Taiwan would face a similar fate. Bolton also highlights a significant point about North Korea’s decision to send 20,000 troops to support Russia, suggesting it clarifies the existence of an “axis of evil” between Russia, China, and North Korea. In terms of the Middle East, Bolton strongly supports Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ongoing war against Hezbollah in Lebanon. He is convinced that Netanyahu will take decisive action to halt Iran’s nuclear ambitions and warns of the possibility that North Korea could supply Iran with nuclear warheads. Bolton further argues that if Trump were re-elected, he would likely stop U.S. support for NATO, as Trump doesn’t seem to understand how a common defense serves as a deterrent. He criticizes Trump’s approach as being short-sighted. Lastly, Bolton stresses the importance of the American public being made aware of North Korea’s involvement in the war in Ukraine, as it shifts the balance of power and could have significant geopolitical implications. #JohnBolton #Trump #US_elections

MEMO to Dan Hollaway: Your :expose of Tim Walz sounds like a Project 2025 Swift Boat hit to me: CSMs aren't nursemaids to their men, . You do know that Trump surrendered unilaterally to the Taliban in a battle NATO was winning, yes? probably on John Bolton's advice, whose entire career objective has been the Henry Cabot Lodge isolationism and abandoning the Atlantic Charter and NATO. As a combat veteran, I have been dealing with Project 2025 assholes since I got back from Vietnam, The Project 2025 agenda, along with the Christian Nationalism crap Pro-Life chaplains have been pumping into the Army culture, are a driving factor to the high suicide rate of combat vets trying to infiltrate the civilian culture. You're rooting for the wrong side.

Worth Listening - strong BBC4 panel discussion on World in 2025. About Putin, Ukraine, EU, NATO, USA/Trump and the Ukraine Russia war. Also reshaping of Middle East region as the changing (weakening) status quo of Iran, Hezbollah, Syria change and reactions. Role of Israel, Arab countries, the Abraham Accords (AA), need for Palestinians to be brought in on AA and much more. What the break throughs can be. What the risks are too. As there has never been so much at stake in the international arena.

In my previous posts, I included videos featuring interviews with Jeff Charlet, author of Scenes From A Slow Civil War including Vice News documentary footage discussing subject matter that is similar to the content being shared in this video. In this podcast interview, Ken Harbaugh, former mission commander and veteran’s advocate discusses the documentary film Against All Enemies. His film Against All Enemies examines the growing trend of militia groups and right wing extremist movements recruiting veterans. This interview provides an in-depth look at trauma and the interior reality of veterans who have become displaced and lacking in identity. In my most recent post, I shared a video that looked at the crisis of identity from a multitude of perspectives which included a series of scenes in a montage from various films where the themes from those films are quite similar to what is being explored in this particular interview. In contrast, I want to share this video where Ken Harbaugh presents a sobering reality as he sheds light on political violence, domestic terrorism, and the parallels between what is happening in the U.S. currently and what has happened and is currently occurring in other countries.

#Editorial on US support for #Israel, #Ukraine, and #Taiwan: The House bill, which was pushed through by Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana), demonstrates that at a time of crisis, America’s political leadership can quickly unify to establish common ground in support of national security. It also sends a clear and unmistaken message to America’s allies around the world: political extremists – who can be counted among lawmakers from both parties – can not derail Washington’s commitment to their security. https://lnkd.in/eXdXj3Dc
