The ISC2 Securing AI Strategy Workshop led by Mano Paul was an amazing experience. Firstly, Mano Paul literally wrote the book on the CSSLP, Secure Software Lifecycle Professional Certification, which is a subject dear to my heart. Celebrity aside, the content of the workshop was fresh, based in real world use cases, and spot-on relevant to the challenges organizations face in coming to terms with Artificial Intelligence.

According to OpenAI, models like o1 show improved performance with longer training times (train-time compute) and benefit from more time spent during inference (test-time compute). This implies that both increased training and allowing the model more time to "think" during inference lead to better results.
