The hiring landscape for accounting and finance roles has continued to evolve over the last year or so after a red hot 2022. Depending on who you talk to they will either tell you it’s great or it’s terrible, with the truth being it’s probably somewhere in between and what your vantage point is. Similar story as it relates to in-office work, love it or hate it, there are still remote opportunities out there but it’s a smaller % of the total market (6% in the case of roles we’ve filled the last few months). Navigating a job search is not a fun exercise for most so when you are able to help someone in the process or best case, get to the finish line it’s very rewarding. Most companies throw extra work on the Controllers ▸ Accounting ▸ hiring/firing ▸ insurance ▸ everything IT related all lands on their desk. It’s like the controller becomes the default for anything remotely finance or admin related. 📍 Review contracts? Send it to the controller. 📍 Vendor issues? Controller. 📍 Employee expenses? Controller again. But here’s the problem:. This overload dilutes productivity & focus. Controllers are supposed to ensure financial accuracy and integrity. That’s their core job. When they are juggling ten other hats, critical details get missed. This isn’t sustainable. Companies need to rethink this approach. Controllers cannot be a one stop solution for everything. #FinanceController

Director Financial of Reporting - Newly created role that will report to CFO. - No direct reports initially, will get to build out a team. - Needed: SEC reporting, be able to create a financial reporting process and eliminate them using 3rd party firm, CPA and public accounting. - $160k - $200k plus 10-15 %, stock incentives, 4/1 hybrid schedule. Senior Financial Analyst - PE backed company, No lay-offs during covid – strong job security. - Newly created role due to growth, company is rapidly growing through acquisitions. - Needed: Corporate FP&A, Present to C-suite, Tableau / PowerBI (plus), Experience with expecting M&A and/or PE-backed (plus). - $90k - $100k – Onsite schedule.   Tax Analyst -Large publicly traded organization - One of top companies to work for in Orlando. - Great benefits package; Health, PTO, Sick days, Incentive bonus Stock options. - Needed: Income tax experience, Big 4 or large regional public accounting experience, ASC 740 and SOX - $70K- $72K + 3% bonus, 3/2 hybrid schedule.   Also seeking several tax and audit associates around $70K-$95K !
