Congo to rely on renewables to double power generation to 1.5 GW. Minister Emile Ouosso said at the Congo Energy & Investment Forum, that the country’s most valuable energy resource is water and pointed out that the government has identified 4,000 MW of hydropower potential in the Brazzaville region. In addition to hydroelectric power, the country will also rely on solar energy. For instance, AMEA Power is currently exploring the potential for a 50-MW solar project in the Brazzaville region.
