Hospice Orillia’s Post

It’s been a tough week for many in our community. The ice storm last weekend left a trail of challenges—power outages, fallen trees, disrupted routines, and a whole lot of stress. For some, it brought fear and uncertainty. For others, it brought long, cold nights and unexpected hardship. But through it all, our community has done what it does best: show up for each other. Neighbours helping neighbours. Sharing generators, clearing driveways, checking in, and lending a hand—or a warm cup of coffee—wherever it was needed. That’s the heart of this community, and we’re grateful. Still, if you’re feeling overwhelmed, you’re not alone. It’s OK to not be OK after the week we’ve all had. Be gentle with yourself. Take it one day at a time—one hour at a time, if that’s what you need. Rest when you can. Breathe. Reach out. We’ll continue to share resources and updates as they become available. Please don’t hesitate to connect or pass them along to someone who might need them. We’re in this together. 💛
