How do you perceive the world around you? What can we learn from other cultures to help us constructively critique our day-to-day experience of the environment? What needs to change in how we interact with the people and places we live and work? As we navigate through the complexities of sustainability, cultural diversity, and political landscapes, it's essential to believe in the vast expanse of possibilities that lie before us. This belief isn't just hopeful thinking; it's a necessary leap towards a new beginning, a flexible dignity approach to a world we're all part of creating. Embracing this mindset means stepping back, pausing, and centering ourselves—acknowledging the power of being present and open to the unexpected. It's about moving from the status quo to a realm where clean energy in our actions and intentions purifies the air of our collective consciousness. At the heart of this transformation is our dignity® approach, fostering co-design and collaborative innovation. Here it's about designing with people, not for them, recognizing that every individual holds unique value and potential for contributing to the health of our ecosystems. Let's embrace this journey with the understanding that making space for possibilities is not just an option but a necessity for a sustainable, equitable, and thriving future. Let's co-create, innovate, and transform our world together, one mindful actionat a time. #SpaceForPossibilities #CoCreate #MindfulInnovation #SustainableFutures #DignityFirst #EcosystemEnablers #CoCreate #MindfulInnovation #CollectiveIntelligence #CleanEnergyMindset #TransformativeChange #BelieveInBetter

“The best way to predict the future is to create it.” - Abraham Lincoln At Organo, we are committed to this philosophy, crafting the future with our pioneering eco-habitats. Our goal is clear: envisioning a future where humanity thrives—content, holistic, and joyful. Our eco-habitats are designed not just as homes but as vibrant, sustainable communities where every element is in harmony with nature. By integrating the seven strands of sustainability through our Saptapatha framework, we are not just building spaces; we are nurturing ecosystems that promote wellbeing for all inhabitants. We are not just predicting a better future; we are actively constructing it. Join us on this journey towards a sustainable tomorrow, where we live not just for ourselves but for our planet and future generations. #OrganoEcoHabitats #FutureBuilding #Sustainability #Innovation

What do Dundee in Scotland and Eindhoven in Netherlands have in common? Both have undergone a huge transformation over the past years, from old industrialism to entirely new urban economies, knowledge-driven and now on the way to carbon-free. They had to re-invent themselves, and in that transition innovative place branding were extensively used, and still is, as a main facilitator, even as a change accelerator. Commissioned by the Just Transition Platform of the European Commission, we have designed a workshop on innovative place branding as a tool for transformation processes. The aim is learning how ambitions, efforts and achievements on sustainability and carbon neutrality, major and minor ones, should be properly embedded into a renovated, comprehensive narrative of the city. This entails, at some point, promoting, curating and wide spreading stories on this matter. Looking outward, such a storytelling will showcase our progress to a Just Transition. Looking inside, the stories will have a demonstration effect to influence people and entities from our communities. First exchange will be with the Aegean island of Limnos on June 18, followed by an online workshop with the Heraklion community on July 3. Hope this could set a standard to other cities and regions wishing to make strategic communication work to support their Just Transition pathways. https://lnkd.in/dXjQ7cQH Iryna Novak Nassos Athanasios Sofos Dimitris Boulotis Manolis Petrakis Stelios Mantzaris Laura Martín Murillo Thanks Nebojsa Gelevski - Bane for the great image.

Social impact evaluation supporting the development of important outcomes for both #wellbeing and #sustainability. 👇
Rare sustainable wellbeing study publication 📯 klaxon alert 📣 - bwaaarrrpp! 😃 This 5-year collaborative sustainable 'sponge park' evaluation revealed large standardised effects for important wellbeing behaviours. It is our most scientifically and ethically robust output to date: https://lnkd.in/eP5MWeCu We contend that this type of social impact evaluation can (and should) become the norm within built environment policy and practice, improving on current social value/impact work by: - Working closely with policy makers, practitioners and local communities to define impact research questions (rather than what data is/isn't available); - Stepping toward much needed causal research that grapples with alternative explanations of 'attribution', rather than side-stepping and over (or under!) claiming impact; - Undertaking simultaneous evaluation of social and environmental impact (see here for impact of sustainable park on temperature, water etc https://lnkd.in/eyEMGHas.). Going forward, we intend to keep evolving by: - Doing additional 'process' evaluation - unpacking the 'hows' and 'whys' (publication to come on this); - Collecting repeated wellbeing data with a larger sub-sample consisting of the same individuals, rather than largely the same community over time; - Undertaking longer studies - we'd like to continue beyond 5-year time horizons, so that the 'learning loop' can be continued - particularly for role of maintenance and management of spaces.
