"As we celebrate the World Day for Persons with Disabilities, let us embrace the theme of amplifying leadership into inclusion. Leadership is not just about holding positions of power; it’s about inspiring change and fostering environments where everyone feels valued and included. This year, I encourage each of us to step into our roles as leaders in our communities, advocating for the rights and recognition of individuals with disabilities. By amplifying diverse voices and perspectives, we can create a more inclusive society that not only acknowledges the challenges faced by people with disabilities but also celebrates their achievements and potential. Together, we can break down barriers, promote accessibility, and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to lead, innovate, and contribute. Let’s work towards a future where inclusion is a fundamental principle, and where every individual is empowered to shine." Let's seleburet.

Today, on International Day of People with Disabilities (IDPWD), we celebrate this year’s theme: Amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future. At NeuroCog®, we believe the disabled community deserves to be seen as valuable members of society, treated with dignity and respect like anyone else. Just as we encourage self-determination and personal development for all, we see those who identify as disabled, as individuals with the same universal needs—to live, love, play, and work. Leadership is about representation, and inclusion is about creating opportunities for everyone to thrive. How can we work together to amplify the voices of people with disabilities in leadership roles?

While representing the National Council for Persons with Disabilities Board during the Gala Dinner i recognized the role senior women with disabilities played in the fight for inclusion of persons with disabilities and establishment of NCPWD. Women with disabilities face intersecting barriers of gender and disability discrimination, often leading to marginalization in leadership spaces due to systematic barriers. To achieve a truly inclusive and sustainable future, we must: 1;Prioritize representation: Women with disabilities must be included at all levels of leadership, from grassroots to global platforms. 2:Break systemic barriers: Addressing barriers such as lack of accessible education, workplace discrimination, and limited access to leadership opportunities is essential for equitable participation. 3;Invest in mentorship : mentorship, and networking opportunities empowers younger women with disabilities to lead effectively and inspire future generations.#2024IDPD
