Nine years ago today, a so called 'landmark climate agreement' was adopted at the UN Climate Change summit in Paris (#COP21) as 195 countries agreed to limit greenhouse gas emissions. Nearly a decade later, we are experiencing the hottest year on record, surpassing pre-industrial temperatures by over 1.5°C. The red line set by the #ParisAgreement has now officially been crossed for the first time, with irreversible impacts already unfolding for humans and #Biodiversity. 🚨 When will our governments finally wake up?
