GP recently celebrated the grand opening of Xi’an CCBD (Centre Culture Business District), a large-scale mixed-use complex developed by China Resources Land (CR Land) in southern Xi’an. Situated along the city’s central axis, this development stands as a prominent landmark, seamlessly blending modern architecture with vibrant urban life. With prominent views of the iconic TV Tower and a landmark park to the west, Xi’an CCBD enhances the city’s skyline and urban experience. GP has completed projects with CR Land in more than 15 cities across China to-date, contributing to a diverse range of architectural projects on varying scales. Xi’an CCBD consists of four dynamic towers rising above an expansive retail base centered around the Xi’an Tree, a vertical park designed by Heatherwick studio. To the east, two 160-meter residential towers offer elegant living spaces, while two 163-meter towers to the west house premium office spaces and the Park Hyatt Xi'an. The 192-room luxury hotel offers world-class culinary and wellness experiences, as well as inspiring venues for meetings and events. At the base, the retail experience is both playful and vibrant, drawing visitors into a dynamic atmosphere. Above, the towers appear to float, their forms sculpted in harmony with the activity below. The design is subtle, ensuring that the towers complement rather than overwhelm the development, creating a balanced and unified architectural composition. Photos: ACF and Qingyan Zhu
