#sharing Consistency is a superpower. (Here’s a short story to prove it) Yusuf Dikeç competed in multiple Olympic Games. It wasn't until recently that he won a silver medal. It took him 16 years to achieve this. His secret? Consistency. All these years he competed without anything fancy: ❌ No specialized lenses. ❌ No ear protection. ❌ No eye cover. He always wore a simple dress and hand in pocket. Nothing complex. Just consistent effort. #TAKEAWAY ✅ Consistency beats complexity every time. ✅ Persistence is key to long-term success. ✅ Attitude >>> Pure skill. "Consistency might not be glamorous, but it works!" So don't overthink. → Start today. → Show up every day. → You will figure things out. #paris2024 #olympic #starttoday Do you agree? How has #consistency helped you?

Most importantly, Biles and Chiles demonstrated four important lessons for viewers: 1. Success is not a zero-sum game; 2. Emotional intelligence is a priceless human tool (develop it, use it); 3. Celebrating collective success can increase connectivity (don't be afraid of or intimidated by the success of others - find your path to your own success, collaboration will help); and 4. Respect your opponent (competition can and should be healthy) Lessons from #Paris2024 #olympics2024 - Forbes https://lnkd.in/e52nEN_h

Whether on the Olympic stage, in professional sports, or performing under the global or local spotlight, top competitors and athletes push their mental limits as much as their physical ones. It’s the mental performance and toughness that define a true champion—handling pressure, exceeding expectations, and staying focused in the most critical moments. From the field to the stage, it’s about mastering the mind as much as the body. 🥇🏅 #MentalToughness #PeakPerformance #AthleteMindset #ChampionsMindset #FocusAndDetermination #SportsPsychology #Olympics2024 #TopPerformers #WinningMentality #MindOverMatter #EliteAthletes #Performers images source: https://lnkd.in/gk8_yZqA

The Olympics... 🥇⚽🏀🎾 Every time I watch the #Olympics, I'm reminded of the profound impact #sports have on our lives. Whether it's the thrill of a swimmer winning by a fraction of a second or the grace of a gymnast's perfect routine, there's an undeniable magic in these moments. It's not just about the #medals or the victories - it's about the journey, the effort, and the sheer determination that athletes pour into their craft. I feel sad that the #Paris2024 Summer #Olympics & #Paralympics are now over, and I feel glad that these athletes motivated me to move and strengthen my body more. (May you be motivated to move your body too as regular physical exercise is also beneficial for your #MentalHealth.) I also wanted to share some insights that the Paralympics revealed to me about #diversity and winning teams. One of the most exciting track events is the relay. In the Paralympics, there are different individual race categories grouping athletes of similar abilities to compete as individuals. Yet, the 4X100 #UniversalRelay brings these different categories together to form teams to work together to strive for success. 💡Fun Facts About 4X100 Universal Relay💡 1. It was created in 2018 and is the only relay in Para athletics. 2. Teams are made up of 2 female-identified athletes and 2 male-identified athletes. 3. Teams race in the following order: starter is a visually-impaired runner, followed by an amputee runner, who touches off to a runner with cerebral palsy, who does the final hand-off to a wheelchair athlete. 🌟What’s required to succeed? 🌟 1. Strong, strategic and compassionate #leadership (coaching). 2. Cohesive and supportive #teams. 3. Commitment to the #values of Paralympism - #determination, #equality, #inspiration and #courage. These are the same components for winning teams in the work world. How can we bring the universal relay design for winning teams to all areas of our society? #DiversityIsStrength #BetterTogether #PhysicalHealth #MentalHealth #GetMoving

Okay, so I know the Olympics are long over, and while I didn’t follow the sports as closely as I’d like to admit (eeek!), I did follow the content—and let me tell you, I thoroughly enjoy it! I mostly followed the sportswomen’s IG accounts (of course!), and although there were loads of good ones, I must say I had a favorite. During the Olympics, I became a fan of Ilona Maher, an American rugby player with so much to say! I’m all about the funny stuff, and there was plenty of it in Ilona's content - but what really struck me were the golden nuggets of feminism that she so effortlessly delivered. I absolutely loved how she sassily called out harmful stereotypes of what a woman "should" look like and promoted feminism and body positivity in such a fun and smart way. Ilona’s messages of body positivity really resonate with me. I come from a very patriarchal society, influenced by a narco lens that has pushed some pretty harmful beliefs about how women should look and what their roles should be. As a result, I’ve always been hyper-aware of my appearance and have struggled with mental health issues when I felt I didn’t meet those expectations of what a "Latin woman" should look like. But this is something I’m still not quite ready to fully dive into. For now, I’m just glad to see more positive messages out there about what a healthy body can look like and to see diversity being embraced! On a positive note, I want to share below one of my fav Ilona’s posts that talked about body shapes and diversity 👇🏼 What were some of your favourite Olympians this past Olympics? Let me know in the comments! #IlonaMaher #Paris2024 #BodyPositivism #Feminism #Empowerment

🏅 Celebrating the Olympics with Respect and Accuracy🏅 As the Olympic Games unfold, it's inspiring to witness the dedication and perseverance of athletes who have trained tirelessly to reach this global stage. Their stories of hard work and sacrifice truly reflect the spirit of the Games. However, I’ve noticed an influx of posts on LinkedIn leveraging the Olympic buzz to boost visibility, often with content that lacks depth or accuracy. While it's great to celebrate and share the achievements of our athletes, let’s remember to honor their journeys with respect and integrity. A Few Thoughts - Know the Facts: Before sharing a post about an athlete, take a moment to verify the details. Understanding their journey—both their struggles and triumphs—adds authenticity to our admiration and respect. Highlight the True Stories: Focus on the real stories of preparation, sacrifice, and perseverance. These are the elements that truly inspire, rather than just mentioning names for engagement. Support with Substance: Use this opportunity not just to gain visibility but to genuinely support and promote the values of hard work and dedication that these athletes embody. Let’s use the Olympic spirit to encourage thoughtful and respectful conversations, and support our athletes in a meaningful way. #olympics2024 #respectathletes #accuracymatters #inspiration #linkedIncommunity
