Will EU Cosmetic Products Regulation Updates Affect Your Products? The EU Commission has officially published amendments to the EU Cosmetic Products Regulation (CPR), restricting or banning nine cosmetic ingredients. With transition periods starting from the end of the year, the CTPA - Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association shares with Global Cosmetic Industry an overview of the affected ingredients, including retinol/retinyl acetate/retinyl palmitate, alpha arbutin, arbutin, 4-methyl benzylidene camphor (4-MBC), genistein, daidzein, kojic acid, triclosan, and triclocarban. AUD$400. That’s how much we spent on acne patches in Melbourne across Chemist Warehouse and Priceline. We bought like 30 different packs from 30 different brands. All of them with their own unique marketing, packaging labels and brand story. The Australian market is well educated with acne patches, both coloured and transparent. But we don’t see many people wearing them out, why? Is the culture here unreceptive to pimple patches? Or is there something we need to do differently to appeal to the market here?
