🚀INTA's ANSER Program achieves major milestone with ANSER-L-S Launch 🚀 On January 14, 2025, INTA's ANSER-L-S satellite was successfully launched from Vandenberg, California, USA, aboard SpaceX's Falcon 9 Transporter-12 mission. This significant achievement marks the culmination of the ANSER satellite cluster deployment. 🌌 Key Highlights: -     Launch Success: ANSER-L-S separated from the launcher 57 minutes post-launch at an altitude of 515 km, beginning its space journey. -     Mission Confirmation: The CEIT-INTA Mission Center confirmed the satellite's power-on and received telemetry data indicating all systems are functioning correctly. -     Commissioning Phase: Activities for the ANSER Leader-S satellite are underway. Since SpaceTrack has not provided the Two Line Element file with orbital data for this satellite until recently, TLEs have been generated using the GNSS receiver data thanks to determination tools used at CEIT (Centro Espacial INTA Torrejón). The two Followers continue to function and operate nominally, performing flight formation control maneuvers in preparation for the forthcoming encounter with Leader-S. 🔧 About ANSER-L-S: The ANSER cluster (Advanced Nanosatellites Systems for Earth Observation Research) consists of three 3U CubeSats, launched in October 2023. Despite the loss of the Leader satellite due to a VEGA launcher failure, the system has continued to function correctly. ANSER-L-S replaces the Leader satellite and enhances the system with S-band communications. 🌍 Program Background: The ANSER Program, initiated in 2018, has been entirely designed, developed, and tested at INTA, consolidating its presence in the global aerospace scene. This experience will bolster INTA's capabilities to lead more ambitious initiatives. With this successful launch, INTA reaffirms its commitment to technological innovation and advancement in space exploration.
