Glimpses of the training session organized at Grewal's Organic Farm in Patan Kalan, Alwar, Rajasthan, under the DAPCL initiative, supported by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India and IMEDF India. The session led by Dr. Pramod Yadav, Horticulture Expert, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Rampura, Rewari, was attended by around 40 farmers. The primary focus of the training was to emphasize the importance of crop diversification, ensuring that farmers grow a variety of crops simultaneously. This approach helps prevent market saturation with the same type of vegetables, ensuring that all farmers receive fair prices when they sell their produce. Dr. Yadav also stressed the need for a nodal agency, such as End Poverty, to guide farmers on adopting different cropping patterns and securing better market rates than those offered by traditional mandis. He further elaborated on onion cropping patterns. The training concluded with the distribution of vegetable seeds of chilies, peas, spinach, etc., to all the participants. #EndPoverty #DAPCL #MSME #IMEDF #FarmersTraining #FarmersOfIndia #AgricultureTraining #SustainableFarming #RuralDevelopment #FarmersEmpowerment #HorticultureTraining #CropManagement #SeedTreatment #AgricultureGrowth #FarmersFirst #CommunityDevelopment #AgricultureInnovation #Training #CapacityBuilding

It’s #WorldBeeDay! 🐝🌍 The campaign theme, #BeeengagedwithYouth, aims to raise awareness among youth and other stakeholders about the essential role of bees and other pollinators play in agriculture, ecological balance, and biodiversity preservation. Did you know that #bees play a crucial role in pollinating plants, which is essential for food security and diversity? 🍎🍇🍓 Beekeeping significantly benefits the environment by supporting biodiversity and enhancing crop yields through pollination. At Ambuja Foundation, we help young farmers by training them in #scientific beekeeping, resulting in increased awareness among them about the importance of bees and other pollinators in agriculture! 🌱🌻 #KVK #ICAR Let's all do our part to protect these vital creatures and their habitats. 🙌 #savethebees #pollinators #biodiversity #youthengagement
#WorldBeeDay Bee cultivation is an exciting grassroots movement that must be expanded if India is going to save its dwindling bee population. At the heart of this solution are India’s young farmers, like 32-year-old Pamak Laljibhai Kanabhai. Recently he was awarded the ‘Sardar Patel Krushi Sansodhan Purashkar’ for Best Farmer by the Government of Gujarat for his diversification into honey bee keeping. Pamak discovered Scientific Beekeeping Training at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ambuja Foundation, Kodinar through social media. This inspired him to integrate honey bee rearing with agriculture, boosting both crop production and income. With technical guidance and support, he successfully developed his own honey brand, ‘Madhsudan Honey’. His entire family contributes to this thriving business, participating in activities from bee box observation to honey extraction, packing, labelling, and transporting. #BeeKeeping #EnviromentFriendlyFarming #SustainableAgricultureModels #SavetheBees #Gujarat #BestFarmer Rajesh Suthar Dalsukh Vaghasiya

As we continue to celebrate the progress made in agriculture globally, I'd like to draw your attention to a remarkable achievement in Rajasthan, India. According to a recent report, the state has almost completed its Rabi sowing, with 88 per cent of wheat sowing accomplished by December. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of farmers in the region, as well as the favorable weather conditions. As an agvocate, I'd like to ask: what strategies can we adopt to replicate this success in other parts of the world, particularly in Africa? How can we leverage technology, innovative farming practices, and policy support to enhance agricultural productivity and food security? Let's explore these questions and more, as we strive to promote sustainable agriculture and empower small-scale farmers. #abutispinach #Agvocate #AgroDiplomacy 🌾💡🌿

A women led farm field school is established in Wayanad, Kerala by Swayam Shikshan Prayog SSP is spearheaded by Janaki Amma. She champions chemical free farming practices to enhance food security and nutrition. “It was only after SSP came to my village that I was able to do farming with a different approach. I have all the support of SSP and they taught me how to sow seeds, what to look out for when they sprout, after how many days I should apply lime, and how to germinate the seeds and its process. Now I know how to effectively control the pests on my plants without harming the environment.” Janaki Amma is mentoring and nurturing fellow women farmers about climate resilient farming practices to scale up to neighbouring communities. “Living with a simple life and farming was something I cherished. Now that I have received so much learning and encouragement, it has been a great joy to do this for our community and environment.” Scaling Sustainable Farming Janaki Amma’s success story is part of SSP’s work that supports scaling the Women-led Climate Resilient Farming (WCRF) model in Wayanad district in Kerala and Bidar district in Karnataka. This initiative empowers women farmers, fosters climate-resilient agriculture, and drives support for sustainable farming.
