Myth #4 - You cannot keep your own doctor if you choose hospice. 💜💜💜💜 Just because you opt for hospice for yourself or a loved one, does not mean the relationship with your current care providers needs to end. In fact, your current doctor can remain involved and even be listed as your hospice primary attending physician if he or she agrees. This means that they are opting to work with the hospice interdisciplinary team to guide the hospice plan of care and provide medication orders as needed. If this is not an option, the hospice team has physicians that can oversee care. #HospiceFacts #NationalHospiceandPalliativeCareMonth #HospiceAndPalliativeCareMonth #hospiceeducation #endoflifecare #hospicebenefit #hospicephysician #faithandfamilyhospice
