I'm very excited to be presenting on this important topic: Climate Adaptation through Smart Cities. We are facing a changing future with our climate extremes giving us more challenges to deal with. "Smart" means creating better systems that meet the needs of communities and organisations. Smart tools can help and make a lasting impact for liveability. I'll be talking about an ADB funded project that used Ramboll's Australian and international expertise to create improved real-world outcomes for cities. Come and see how demand-driven smart water tech and smart approaches create meaningful impact for communities. I'll be talking about filling data gaps with AI, sandbox approaches, real-time flood data, 3D modelling for non-technical people, and gender equality tech. It's more than just digital too. Agreed, land tenure and title security is paramount. It critically important on so many fronts not limited to:- - nation building - capacity building - security of investment - and PPPs The old saying ones home is one`s castle can only apply if title security and land tenure exists for the citizen. Absent land tenure the citizen remains extraordinarily vulnerable. Title security is one of the factors that can help an emerging economy evolve into a developed nation. This will be an important conference.
