One of the most beautiful aspects of pregnancy is the connection you share with your baby—even before they’re born! I often receive this question: 🎵 When does a baby in the womb start to hear the sound? 🎵 Did you know your baby’s sense of hearing starts developing as early as 16 weeks of pregnancy? ✨ By the 16th–18th week, they can pick up low-pitch sounds and vibrations. ✨ By the 24th–26th week, they begin to clarify and understand sounds. ✨ By the 30th week, your baby actively listens and responds to the world around them! Every word, every emotion, every sound matters. This is why starting Garbha Samvad (talking to your baby) and Garba Sanskar practices early in pregnancy is so impactful. Your words, love, and positivity help nurture your baby's emotional intelligence and mental well-being. 🌟 When Should I Start Garbha Samvad? The answer is simple: as soon as you know you’re pregnant! But it becomes especially important from 16 weeks onward when their hearing develops. How to do this? Share affirmations, sing songs, chant mantras, or talk about your day—it’s all about creating a connection that nurtures your baby’s heart and mind. ✨ #Imaginethis: When your baby is born, they will recognize your voice, feel your love, and remember the amazing experience in the womb, attuned to the positive energy you’ve shared. 💫 Let’s Create This Magic Together! 💫 Through Garba Sanskar Yoga and mindful practices, you can make pregnancy not just a phase but a transformative journey—for you and your baby. Are you ready to start this beautiful journey? 🌸 💬 Let’s connect, or DM me to join my prenatal yoga sessions! #GarbaSanskar #GarbhaSamvad #PregnancyWellness #PrenatalYoga #MindfulMotherhood #PositiveParenting

Antenatal Yoga: 2 weeks ago I visited the pregnancy yoga class @Kin where the Mums enjoy mindful movement I asked the Mothers there “What have you heard about breastfeeding”? “What have you read”? “What did your friends tell you”? As a lactation consultant, I wish I could share tips with every parent during pregnancy. Many breastfeeding challenges could be avoided with the right support and information early on. 🌟Babies feed best when calm & stable. Lie your baby on your chest and allow them to find the way to the breast - many babies can manage this without help. 🌟Look into expressions colostrum from 37 weeks to prepare for any early challenges. Don’t stress about volumes - just learn the skills. 🌟Second Night Syndrome: It's normal for newborns to be fussy on the second night. Keep them close and feed often. 🌟Forget Foremilk & Hindmilk: Let your baby feed until satisfied; switch sides as needed without worrying too much about how long they stay on the breast. 🌟The Three 'Keeps': When the breastfeeding journey feels derailed, Keep your baby close, fed, and your milk flowing to overcome early hurdles. For more support, check out my antenatal breastfeeding sessions. Let's make your breastfeeding journey smoother! 🌟 #BreastfeedingTips #NewParents #LactationConsultant #BabyThrive #ibclc #liquidgold

Pregnancy is an incredible journey filled with milestones, and feeling your baby move for the first time is definitely one of the most magical. But when exactly can you expect those butterflies in your belly? There's some variability, but here's a general timeline: 18-22 weeks: This is the window when most women experience the first flutterings, often described as butterflies or gentle kicks. These may be subtle at first, and you might mistake them for gas or digestive rumbles. After 20 weeks: As your baby grows and gets stronger, the movements become more frequent and distinct. You might feel kicks, jabs, or even rolls! Second pregnancy: If this isn't your first rodeo, you might be lucky enough to feel those flutters a bit earlier, around 16 weeks. This is because you're already familiar with the sensation. Here are some factors that can influence when you feel your baby move: Placenta location: If your placenta is positioned at the front of your uterus (anterior placenta), it might create a bit of a buffer, making the movements less noticeable in the beginning. Your activity level: You're more likely to feel your baby move when you're relaxed and still, like when you're lying down or sitting quietly. Your own body awareness: Some women are naturally more in tune with their bodies and might pick up on those subtle movements sooner. Remember: Every pregnancy is unique. Don't stress if you haven't felt your baby move by a certain week. If you're concerned or have questions, always talk to your doctor or midwife. They can help you track your baby's movements and ensure everything is progressing smoothly. Here's a bonus tip: Once you start feeling those kicks, it can be fun to play a little game! See if your partner can feel the movements by placing their hand on your belly. It's a lovely way to bond with your baby and share the excitement of pregnancy together. #PregnancyJourney #BabyMovements #PregnancyMilestones #MomToBe #BabyKicks #PregnancyTips #NewMomLife #PregnancyAwareness #BondingWithBaby #Maternity #PolarisHealthcare

Attention all expecting mothers! 🤰✨ Maintaining core strength during pregnancy is essential. Here are some key do's and don'ts to keep in mind: Do: -Recruit from the pelvic floor first: Begin each exercise by engaging your pelvic floor muscles to create a stable foundation. -Practice 360 breathing: Utilize this breathing technique to properly engage your diaphragm and core for better body support. -Manage pressure: Be aware of intra-abdominal pressure to avoid straining your core and pelvic floor. Don’t: -Overtrain obliques: Overworking your obliques can lead to imbalances and increase the risk of diastasis recti. -Fear modification: Embrace modifications in your workouts. They are crucial for maintaining safety and effectiveness. -Avoid core work: Ensure you include safe, controlled core exercises to keep your core engaged and strong. Key Takeaway: Embrace a balanced approach to core exercises during pregnancy. By engaging your pelvic floor, practicing proper breathing, and making smart modifications, you can maintain strength and health throughout your pregnancy. 🌟💪 #PregnancyFitness #StrongMoms

The last few weeks of pregnancy can feel like an eternity. Don't worry, I've got you covered with some ways to stay distracted after 37 weeks! 👉🏻 Hey! I'm Trish ❤, or @labor.nurse.mama, the only birth class that comes with a nurse coaching you- comment #CLASS❤️ Here are some ideas to keep you occupied as you wait for your little one to arrive: Get some exercise 🤸♀️: Staying active can help you feel more energized and less stressed. Go for a walk, take a prenatal yoga class, or try swimming to stay active and relieve some tension. I know, sounds easier said than done at this stage, but keep in mind that it will help baby move down into the pelvis and get ready for birth. Learn a new skill 🤓: Have you always wanted to learn how to knit, cook a new dish, or play an instrument? Now is the perfect time to pick up a new skill and keep your mind engaged. It’s also a great time to get into meal prepping and prep meals for after the baby is here so you don’t have to worry about it during the first few weeks of postpartum. Spend time with loved ones 🤗: Surround yourself with the people you love and who make you feel good. Spend time with your partner, family, and friends to stay connected and ease any nerves. This can be a great time for a local babymoon if you haven’t taken one yet. Practice relaxation techniques 🧘♀️: Take some time for yourself and practice relaxation techniques like deep breathing, meditation, or visualization to help you feel calm and centered. It’s also a great time to practice your breathing and prepare for birth too! Prepare for baby 🍼: Use this time to get organized and prepare for your baby's arrival. Set up the nursery, wash baby clothes, and pack your hospital bag so you'll feel ready when the time comes. Remember, every pregnancy is different, so don't put too much pressure on yourself to be productive all the time. Rest when you need to, and take care of yourself and your growing baby. You're almost there! 🙌❤️ How are you passing the time until baby arrives?

Let’s talk relationship changes on the journey through parenthood specifically in pregnancy. When I discuss this people, some don’t understand why there would be relationship changes at this time. So, let’s break it down a bit… 1) If this is your first baby, you’re both so used to doing life as a couple, the idea of things changing is scary. 2) You mumma are feeling far from yourself yet still doing all the same things. 3) Pregnancy can be so lonely as your partner simply can’t understand how you’re feeling(through no fault of their own) 4. It can be a scary and emotional time, causing tension. 5) You might not feel like going out, being intimate and so much more.. it’s so hard to describe pregnancy, almost impossible. It’s no wonder our partner struggle to understand how we’re feeling! But .. they need to try. Preparing yourself for this part of the journey will be so beneficial throughout the rest of pregnancy, birth and beyond. #couples #parentstobe #marriedcouple #fatherhoodfear #pregnancystruggles
