if we met a year from now, what would we be celebrating? I love this question. It provides us an opportunity to both bring intent to our furture and to wrap it in gratitude. Research shows that thinking about the future is helpful to our day-to-day. Making daily decisions in the context of a well envisioned future will: 💪 increase persistence on a task 💪 help us make better daily decisions 💪 aid us to solve problems faster 💪 reduce our procrastination But, all too often we are hustling through our days: fighting fires, doing damage control, on problem patrol, death scrolling social media, or lost in meeting mania. So, what can you do? ✨Start your day with a minute of reflection on the future✨ Choose a date a week, month, or year from now and get clear about 1 thing you want to celebrate. ✨Once a week, remind your team what your are fighting for✨ Choose your medium and share your thoughts on why the world is better with your team in it. ✨Once a year, take stock in what you want to celebrate at this time next year✨ Have a yearly ritual with someone you love. Get together and do two things. First, answer the question of what you want to celebrate a year from now. Then, choose a date and book a place where you will come together a year from now to celebrate all that you accomplished. Plan something fun. Designing tomorrow's future is the antidote to combating the chaos of today.

Andre Martin - this question is such a gift—and a timely one at that! Simple yet profound, it’s a reminder of how often we’re caught in reactive mode, checking boxes without pausing to ask why. The idea of celebrating a well-envisioned future truly hits home. Moments of intentionality can shift not just a day but the trajectory of an entire year. I especially love the yearly ritual—there’s something so powerful about anchoring ambition in reflection and connection. A wonderful reminder to lead with purpose and savor the incredible journey! :)
