Y'all know how I feel about this topic and how I been feeling. It's 2024... ANY job at ANY level in this field should be posting salaries. That's it. It shouldn't be a potential/interested employee having to reach out to HR or someone they know at this org to get something as simple as a SALARY RANGE POSTED. And yes, the outrageous salary ranges listed sometimes is a whole nother issue we'll talk about later lol but for now, it's been overdue. Regardless if you're a public sector planner, private, non-profit, development side, or whichever side the salary should be posted, the conversation around it should be transparent, and YOU shouldn't have to ask about it in the interview. Minor change that holds BIG weight on the next generation of planning professionals. https://lnkd.in/gH_445Fc Adrienne Burke, AICP, Esq. Sarah Marsom 🏁

This is a light lift y'all. Anyone telling you anything else or you believing that you can't do this, is no longer an excuse. I have more thoughts to come on this, but I want to lift up this effort to make sure APA is making sure folks post accurate salary ranges and paid internships only. Let me say it one more time that I don't think any of this is in the least bit disrespectful. We have to get our financial accountings and our balance sheets and our pro formas in order. You will not get away with not doing so forever. So, here's the website that has all of the receipts and actions that can be taken to make sure this changes -- https://lnkd.in/gd5WWCZW.
💯 💯 💯 Dee!!! You said what needs to be said!!
You are right - it really is a minor shift that makes a BIG impact!
I agree. Mass. is considering passing a law that requires employers to adhere to salary transparency.
