🎤 “HF 1, cleared to join AI Flow”: with this sentence we concluded the XXX ANACNA Delegates Congress on April 11th in Fiumicino. We were pleased to join the event with our Michela Terenzi and Nicola Cavagnetto and present Deep Blue’s contribution to #HumanFactors research in the context of #ArtificialIntelligence for Air Traffic Management, as part of the #SESAR exploratory research programme. During our talk, we showcased three ongoing projects that reflect current research priorities and challenges: 🔹 DIALOG, exploring AI for intent inferring, starting from Automatic Speech Recognition of human actors in the operational environment, adapting the support to human operators based on real-time workload measurements; 🔹 CODA-ATC, investigating adaptive automation supported by predictive models of traffic and neurophysiological indicators, aimed at better supporting controllers, for example by anticipating workload; 🔹 HAIKU EU Project, focusing on Human-AI Teaming, working towards seamless, effective, and safe collaboration between humans and intelligent systems. Deep Blue plays a key role in all three projects as Human Factors expert and coordinates both CODA and HAIKU. 🧭 The future of #ATM is being shaped today. We believe people must remain at the centre of this evolution — and research plays a crucial role in ensuring a human-centric transition to increasingly AI-supported systems. A big thank you to ANACNA, gianluca del pinto and Giacomo Dusi for the invitation and for organising such an inspiring and engaging event!
