🐟 I find inspiration in the story from Luke 5:4: 🐟 **Jesus:** "Put out into the deep water and lower your nets for a catch." **Simon:** "Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing, but at Your word, I will lower the nets again." 👉 **Outcome:** The nets were filled with so many fish that they began to break, prompting the fishermen to signal their partners in the other boat for help. Amidst their challenges, they steadfastly embraced their calling. 👉 **Personal Note:** Having been saved for over 40 years in my Christian walk, I have felt God's call on my life three times. After my last calling, I believed my journey was over, and I could retire to a simpler life. Yet, about four months later, God called me again to create an organization called CA Jail Outreach He inspired me to go out and do something wonderful for those in need, and true to His promise, He has filled my nets once more. 👉 Under no circumstances should you pause your life; embrace the opportunities God has in store for you. In the meantime, enrich your journey by volunteering with us and making a difference in the lives of others. Nick Long, Thanks for the work you are doing! Jim Stern, thank you for sharing these powerful insights. I recently told some young men at TSU that there’s no reason anyone should be without a job when there are so many problems to solve in a world of brokenness. We should be looking to alleviate pain in any way we can, creating value in our communities. This is good stewardship unto God, and it’s a way each of us can contribute to Kingdom work. Your reflections remind us that our struggles—often handed down through generations—don’t need to define us. When we view pain as a platform for service, every challenge becomes a chance to extend hope. That’s the core of Nothing is a Waste—to take every part of our story and transform it into something of lasting impact. There are struggles evident in the black community. Many people are talking about the problems. It's amazing to see what happens when people Sharpen their ax! What’s one lesson from your journey that you feel has been redeemed to help others?
