I share this example with many of my clients because it effectively highlights the importance of hiring based on skills rather than traditional markers of success, such as the prestige of one's college or years spent performing the same role. The critical question in high-performance recruitment should be: what problems has this candidate solved that can address the challenges my business faces?

It’s been six months since we launched our people and talent studio, and being people who love to lean into change, we thought our brand palette needed some tweaking - so we thought we'd give it a little glow up!
We love colour, [if you haven’t already guessed] and we’ve always been eager to portray our brightness in a space that can look quite bland at times. And with two other brands to launch under the Brightside Collective over the coming weeks that we want to seamlessly connect, it was time to get creative and elevate what was already there.
And speaking of launching our new brands, as a little teaser, we’ll be bringing to life Fraction & Kodi. Fraction will be geared specifically towards senior fractional recruitment, and Kodi will be a dedicated brand for the tech & software space, but with a neuro spicy and inclusive twist!

As we move into 2025, I want to take a moment to thank my team and share this video celebrating my journey with Evelyn & Bobbie in 2024. It’s been a year of learning, collaboration, and key milestones. Here are a few highlights:
1️⃣ Fit Salons
We hosted six full-size-range fit parties with over 250 women in three months, during which I completed 85 fittings. These events deepened our understanding of customer needs, refined our products, and provided invaluable insights for our cross-functional team.
2️⃣ Team Week
Bringing our remote teammates together for bonding, learning from each other’s expertise, and brainstorming ideas to enhance our business was a truly enriching experience. I can’t wait to reconnect!
3️⃣ Vendor & Factory Visits in Asia
I’m grateful for the opportunity to visit our partners in Asia, gaining insights into production processes, new techniques, and lab testing. As an Asian team member, I was honored to support seamless communication and cultural connection, collaborating on new opportunities and solving challenges.
4️⃣ Technical Design & Project Management
I’m fortunate to have contributed to the successful launch of our recent mesh collection, where I learned that even small changes require meticulous attention to detail at every step! A special thanks to my manager and team for their support and guidance, which not only enhanced my experience in fitting, but upskilled in managing samples, fit models, vendor communication, and project updates for smooth development process.
Looking back, I’m proud of what we accomplished in 2024 and excited to achieve even more with my team in 2025! 🚀🚀🚀
