Partners Group, one of the largest firms in the global private markets industry, has agreed to acquire Empira Group, a premier real estate investment platform with 13 global offices and a EUR 14 billion gross development value portfolio of European and US residential property. The acquisition is anticipated to close in H1 2025, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.      Kellerhals Carrard acts as lead counsel to Partners Group on this transaction. The Kellerhals Carrard team is led by Marco Balmelli and Marc Hanslin (both Corporate/M&A) and comprises Armin Kühne, Luca Bianchi and Michael Kremer (all Regulatory), Kevin MacCabe, Sarah Schneider, Kim L. Doesn't get much more throwback than this! From founding member Leo Connelly's archives: the first meeting where the team talked about Ocra and reviewed the designs (hi, Alexis Bedoret! 👋). Before we were Ocra, we were operators. We built the solution to the problem we experienced firsthand using aggregators to help drive revenue & optimize yield: fragmentation. We were overselling inventory and unable to quickly reconcile reports, which prevented us from increasing rates and our margins. Only a couple of us were trained on the different channels and the capabilities of each, and we had to divide and conquer just to try to manage tasks.
