Pride Wide: Filling the storytelling gap for LGBTQIA+ equality Pride Wide is a new kind of global non-profit organization, working towards a future of freedom, equality, and visibility for LGBTQIA+ people around the world. Many of us in the LGBTQ+ Community know that even if Kamala Harris for President, 2024 had won the election, we still would have plenty of work to do to move forward. Now that she did not win, we need to do more. And we know "Hard work is good work." It’s time to take action! 💪 Get involved in your community: 🚨 Do not listen to what Trump or his Magaminions say. Watch what they do. 🚨 🌟 Support local initiatives: Join groups, the PTA, and be on the board of non-profits. 💸 Donate to nonprofits: Contribute dollars and volunteer your time, especially for LGBT, trans, abused women, seniors and other marginalized groups. Note that non-profits like GenPride who work with LGBTQ+ Seniors are going to need more help than ever as government grants may dry up. 🛍️ Support small businesses: Especially those owned by historically underrepresented folks. 🤝 Work with professionals who share your values: Even in red states, there are local chambers like GSBA in Seattle that work with the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) and support LGBT businesses. 🔍 Google the services you need: Many find us at Planning for Good, LLC by searching for LGBT financial planners. 🌐 Join networking groups: Groups like Females and Finance Community promote women in financial services and support LGBT (UNITY™ Programship at Females and Finance), Black and Brown (RISE Programship at Females and Finance), and neurodivergent communities (Compass Programship at Females and Finance). 🏢 Work for a company that shares your values: Culture still counts! Employers who treat their employees well are often those who do well financially. "Over the decade 2012-2021, charitable giving to #LGBTQ+ organizations more than doubled...However, this still amounts to less than $1 out of every $500 donated going to support LGBTQ+ organizations." Interesting report here on trends over the last decade-plus, and a reminder that there is still much to do in advancing equity in #philanthropy.

I don't have enough words to describe how proud I am to be working at ServiceNow in Amsterdam. In the past two months, I have been participating in cleaning Amsterdam canals and helping packing meals for children in Africa. Multiply this by the numerous employees willing to help, and you have the most human, impactful, diverse, empathic and humble company culture I have experienced in my career. Last week we helped Rise Against Hunger packing enough food for 83 children to have high protein meals and vitamins at school for an entire year. Rise Against Hunger is working hard to provide nutritious meals and vitamins to kids going to school in Africa. Creating an incentive for parents to send their kids to school, it's giving a chance for a kid to learn, have a real meal, a better future and hopefully break the circle of poverty. Our body needs proteins to create, transport and deliver energy to our muscles. In the brain proteins are the connective tissues between brain cells. More proteins, means more energy, a better cognitive development, a better physical development, a stronger immune system and more. We, in Europe, and in the Netherlands in particular are lucky. Giving back, trying to have a positive impact on the world as small as it may be, is in ServiceNow's DNA. It's amazing to see the power of the "WE" in action. If WE come together, WE can change the world. Thanks to incredible human beings like Tarnie Correa & the ACT team, we will continue to contribute together to build a better world for the next generations. We often say that, "the world works with ServiceNow" but the truth is " ServiceNow is working for a better world". Offering a holistic, integrated and long-term programme supporting young people from the ages of 4 to 22, and through every stage of their development, is #SmallBiz100 4-22 Foundation. Based in Haringey, Tottenham, they focus on those most at risk of disadvantage, such as the BAME community, LGBT+ individuals, refugees, and other groups. 4-22 Foundation currently promote their social enterprise through their close ties and working partnerships with local councils and organisations (such as schools and charities), who provide referrals for them. The foundation's mission is to improve young people's confidence and support them in reaching full potential by equipping them with academic, employability and life skills.
