You don't have to be a CEO to need this! GBS leaders are challenged by these expectations even more! My colleagues at Horton International have done a great job putting together a summary of the top CEO qualities, boards are nowadays stressing while mandating us with new search projects. What strikes me immediately when I read this, is how very aligned these points are with what is being currently discussed within the GBS sector. And expected from senior GBS leaders. Let me just mention geopolitical awareness and ability to work in uncertain environments. I have probably talked with 20 senior GBS leaders only in the last 10 days and the main subject were huge transformations. Either technological or geographical, or just due to that or this performance issue in the mother organization. And yes, it has never been different. But I think the current situation is unprecedented - the mix of different factors together and the weight of each of these factors seems to be unique. Or am I biased? Or exaggerating?
