EDP Ventures - Portfolio Update In recent months, several startups from our portfolio have achieved major milestones. Here’s a quick overview of what’s been happening: - Captura, a California-based carbon removal company, announced the launch of operations at its latest pilot plant in Hawaii. This facility, developed in partnership with O&G @Equinor and capable of removing 1,000 tons of CO2 annually, is the third and final pilot in Captura’s technology development program, setting the stage for the global deployment of its Direct Ocean Capture technology in large commercial systems. - Terabase Energy, a leader in digital and automation solutions for utility-scale solar, raised $130M in Series C funding led by @SoftBank Vision Fund 2, bringing its total to over $200M. The investment supports Terabase’s mission to drive renewable energy innovation by reducing costs and accelerating solar project deployment. SoftBank joins EDP as a strategic partner, backing Terabase’s growth and technology advancements. - Mixergy Ltd, a British startup revolutionizing water heating with AI, successfully raised £12 million in funding. Led by @Barclays Climate Ventures, this round also saw continued support from EDP Ventures and other existing investors.
