🚀 Reflecting on Our Inspiring Montevideo Hoodie-Summit! 🚀 Last week, our amazing Hoodies gathered for a transformative three-day session at a coworking space. This event was more than just meetings and activities; it was an opportunity to deepen our connections, share our visions, and strengthen our bonds as a team. 🗺️ Journey Around the Globe with MailerLite’s Culture Map initiative 💚 At MailerLite, we want to stay connected and engaged, even if we work thousands of kilometers apart from each other. That’s why our amazing Engagement Specialist, Jen M., has launched an exciting new initiative called Culture Map. 🤩 (I'm super thrilled about it and once again, great job, my friend!) This project gives our colleagues the chance to showcase their countries through quizzes, music, food, and more, helping us all learn and connect on a deeper level. We kicked off our first session with 🇭🇳 Honduras, where we have a significant part of our team (12 colleagues, to be exact, it was part of the quiz 😎). Here are a few fascinating facts we discovered about Honduras: 🌧️ They have a phenomenon known as "fish rain" - it actually rains fish in parts of Honduras! 🐠 Home to the second largest coral reef in the world. 🌊 Christopher Columbus named the country "Honduras" (meaning "depths") because of the deep waters off its coast. Because sometimes we come across new cultural values, that we think are familiar to us, but instead create friction. And you may not even know about it until its too late. This is where I can help. And by culture I don't mean those inspirational slogans on office walls. I’m talking about the broader cultural values that we all grew up & carry with us wherever we are. If you come from a culture that is very hierarchical while instead Norway is very flat, this might be difficult for you, both if you are a manager or team member. 🌍 Stayforlong Global Meeting 2024. A day to inspire, connect and dream big 🌟 Last week, Stayforlong stopped the clock. We gathered the whole team in Barcelona, our city and our starting point, to celebrate the Global Meeting. It was more than a meeting: it was a dose of energy and creativity to face 2025 as we know, as a team and eager to eat the world. 🚀 The morning was one of analysis and reflection: we looked at the past to understand how to build an even stronger future. Projects, learnings and challenges on the horizon. But we didn't stop there: in the afternoon, we rolled up our sleeves with a group activity focused on improving internal communication, that secret sauce that turns great ideas into reality. 🧠 ✨ The closing? Finding cultural fit matters way more than you think! After working remotely with my team for so long, I finally had the chance to meet everyone in person at Strider’s off-site in Brazil. And while I’d always felt connected to them, seeing everyone face-to-face made it crystal clear: it’s 100% possible to have cultural fit, even remotely. The funny thing was: I realized how much we were already in sync. It was surprising to see how much of a bond we’d built, even with thousands of kilometers between us most of the time… Being surrounded by people who share not just the same goals but also the same vibe made me realize how important cultural fit really is. From co-working days to cooking classes and a visit to Instituto Inhotim, I got to know the team on a whole new level. Working with folks who “fit” doesn’t just make the job easier - it makes the whole journey more meaningful! Distance doesn’t stand a chance against genuine connection and shared values. That’s cultural fit!
