Hello and welcome to your July Lettings market update. The average rent last month stood at almost 1300 lbs per calendar month regionally, but were slightly lower in our area at 1158 lbs annually. We saw an average rise of 7.4% across the Southeast and a 7.9% increase in Southampton. 19. 7% of all renters in the Southeast at age 25 to 29 years old, and in our area they made a similar proportion of renters at 20.5%. Thirty to 34 year olds were the second highest group at 17% regionally and. 16% locally. Of all rentals over the past year, flats were the most popular property type, taking up 53.6% of lets in the southeast and 55.2% in our area. Terrace properties were 21.3% of the share regionally and 20% hopefully in the southeast. Semi detached took 14.7% of the mix, while locally that figure was 15.3%.
