Hi and welcome to your lettings market update for May. Across the Southeast, the average monthly rent over the last 12 months was highest in Guildford at 1616 lbs per calendar month, while the place with the lowest average monthly rent annually was Southampton at 1088 lbs per calendar month. Across the region, the percentage of homes let between 7:50 and 1000 lbs over the last 12 months was at 19. 25% Compared to within Southampton, where 28% of properties fell into this band, the percentage of homes let in the 1 to 1250 lbs banned was 21.5 regionally and 26% locally. Of all rentals over the past year, flats were the most popular property type in the Southeast, taking up 53.2% of lets, followed by terrorist properties at 21.5%. In Southampton the share was the same, with flats taking 56% and terrace properties. 20% of lads Over the last 12 months the average rent for homes left in Southampton was 1146 lbs per calendar month, an 8.8% increase on the previous year and a 31.3% increase over five years.
