7 interview questions to ask for a corporate real estate position: Ask about the job: Why is this position open? Ask about your territory: Which markets does this role cover? Ask about pay and benefits: What is the base salary? Stock options? Bonus? Company car? Ask about daily responsibilities: Walk me through a typical day in this position. Ask about metrics for performance: How many approvals and contracts are required for this position? Ask about the challenges: What’s the #1 challenge I will be able to help you with” Ask about company growth: How many stores do you plan to open in the next 5 years? Here’s what came out on top: 48% - Remote / Hybrid Working: The flexibility to work remotely or in a hybrid setup continues to be a top priority, reflecting the shift towards work-life balance in the legal profession. 25% - Salary / Benefits: The overall package remains a key factor, with conveyancers valuing competitive salary and benefits packages that acknowledge their expertise. 18% - Manageable Caseload: Balancing workload is clearly essential for job satisfaction and mental well-being, as seen in the high importance placed on a manageable caseload. 9% - Development Opportunities: Professional growth and skill enhancement are still important, with conveyancers keen on roles that support ongoing development.
