What are ways that the sports industry can improve DEl efforts? I think the sports industries can improve DEI efforts is to stop doing surface level efforts and actually get in the trenches. Let me not get on a tangent but a content series highlighting a few DEI individuals or hosting a panel with some that checks a box isn't moving the needle One way that would help is to stop doing unpaid internships. I understand the whole got to get it out the mud and work your way up but there's other ways to do that without offering unpaid internships without a plan to actually hire the interns you had work for you for "experience and exposure". I've seen this happen too many times where someone will be an intern with the hope of being hired only for them to draw it out until they don't have budget. There needs to be real pipelines for everyone to get into the industry. Day 25 of #LinkedInSportsChallenge -- p.s. I'm way behind on this challenge so expect me to stack some days to be done before EOY
