Filming something quick that need 0 edits? This might be a good work around for you if you just need to film something with a good audio source and you want to keep editing minimal. In this example I used a guitar as the audio source but this could easily be something like a mic or 2 (or more depending on the setup)

Before & After 🤯💨 Whenever someone asks me about the importance of professional video production, this video always jumps to mind 👇 Picture this: we're on Hunstanton beach, wind whipping us all like crazy, and poor Tom trying his hardest to be heard over the noise. To be completely honest, we could hardly even hear what we were shooting! It was a case of getting more footage than we usually would to ensure we have usable clips for post-production, and assuring Tom that he didn't need to shout over the wind. Thanks to our state-of-the-art audio equipment, and wizardry back at the office, we were able to turn the chaos into crystal-clear sounds. It's pretty wild that we managed to keep the quality up even in such crazy conditions. But, you know what? That wind, as annoying as it felt on shoot day, actually adds so much authenticity to this video. I mean, that's just how British beaches are 99% of the time, right? Yet we didn't have to compromise on audio quality and, most importantly, we were able to capture every bit of Tom's wisdom. That's what I call success in adverse conditions! Can anyone good at lip reading have a go at filling in the blanks? 💭

My thought process while editing this video for the YouTube channel “RiankonMaps”. 1. Hook- Keeping a 15 second hook by showing some part from the main video. 2. Audio-video synchronization- Aligning narration with the relevant visuals for proper understanding. 3. Trimming unnecessary content- My main focus was to keep the important parts to maintain a tight and crisp flow. 4. Transitions- I used quick fades with shutter sound to give the camera shutter effect. 5. Audio polishing- Audio is the most important part of a video, so it is important to remove any echoes from the voice and match the volume levels of sound effects according to the narration. 6. Final polishing- It is important to fine-tune the edits, ensuring the smooth cuts between scenes, and reviewing the overall quality. These small adjustments often make the final video feel polished.

So... 😂 My experience in the Video industry has been that I'm 1 professional who works with a bunch of other professionals and each one of us are specialists in our particular craft. 🦸♀️🦸♂️ I never edited actual film. By the time I started editing, everything that was filmed (into the can) was sent TO PROFESSIONALS to be placed onto TAPE to be sent for POST-PRODUCTION so we could edit it. Therefore, I've never heard of these errors because this is SPECIFICALLY what PROFESSIONALS were being PAID to ensure doesn't happen! 😂 Why would you pay somebody to hand you faulty tapes where the audio is out of sync? 🤔🤪 So SOMEBODY along this production line doesn't know what they're doing. 🕵️♂️ If you don't know what you're doing, don't film audio separately from video. Also, if you're an Editor, don't accept work from Videographers who don't know what they're doing. Typically, I'll receive (for unscripted television series) video recorded with 8 channels of audio, and also 4 redundant channels of audio recorded by itself without video. I've never had a drift issue like what the poster describes, but if I did, oh well 🤷♂️ sucks to be you and now you have to sync everything yourself. If YOU AGREED to edit this program without checking whether the PRODUCTION TEAM knew what they were doing, that's YOUR FAULT and now YOU have to deal with it.
