Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd's ultra-luxury position contrasts sharply with its uneven business performance and elevated financial risk. Aston's enviable brand image, with an average selling price likely exceeding $250,000 in 2025 -- about 25% higher than in 2022 -- is impressive compared to Porsche. Yet, incoming CEO Adrian Hallmark (formerly of Bentley Motors) will need to figure out how to raise margins to Maserati levels or closer to the peer average -- a critical step in reframing risk views, which have traditionally tied well with stock performance. https://lnkd.in/eA3xaVyA

A successful strategic partnership can be compared to the assembly of a Ferrari car, where meticulous attention to detail and the precise interplay of components lead to a masterpiece of engineering and design. Here’s how this metaphor unfolds: 1. The Chassis: Shared Goals The chassis of a Ferrari, much like the shared goals in a partnership, provides the structural integrity for the entire vehicle. It supports everything built upon it. Partners must start with a strong, shared framework of goals that hold up the rest of their collaborative efforts, ensuring both are moving in the same direction with a sturdy foundation. 2. The Engine: Complementary Strengths In a Ferrari, the engine is the heart, delivering power and performance. In a partnership, each partner brings their own "engine" — their core competencies and resources that power the partnership. Like how a Ferrari’s engine is designed for peak performance, the combined strengths of the partners should be optimized to drive the partnership forward with maximum efficiency. 3. The Steering System: Communication Just as the steering system in a Ferrari allows the driver to guide the car precisely on the road, effective communication steers the partnership. It allows both parties to navigate challenges and opportunities with agility and precision, ensuring that every turn and twist is handled smoothly. 4. The Aerodynamics: Adaptability The aerodynamic design of a Ferrari ensures that it can adapt and respond to its environment, minimizing air resistance for optimal speed and performance. Similarly, a strategic partnership must be adaptable, able to respond to external pressures and changes in the business landscape, ensuring it remains streamlined and effective. 5. The Dashboard: Transparency and Governance A Ferrari’s dashboard provides the driver with critical information at a glance, necessary for making split-second decisions. In a partnership, clear governance and transparency function like this dashboard, keeping both parties informed and aligned on their progress and any issues that need attention. 6.The Fuel: Mutual Benefits Fuel is what keeps the Ferrari moving, just as mutual benefits keep a partnership vibrant and dynamic. Both parties should continuously fuel their collaboration with incentives and rewards that motivate and align with both partners' strategic objectives. Just as every component of a Ferrari is fine-tuned to deliver a thrilling driving experience, every aspect of a strategic partnership must be carefully managed to ensure it operates smoothly and meets the objectives of all involved. This approach guarantees that the partnership, much like a Ferrari on the racetrack, performs at its best, achieving success with speed and style.

Rumors around Volkswagen Group intra brand sharing have suggested that the upcoming Q3 will share a fair deal with the next-generation Cupra Terramar. And while we’ve published Q3 test mule photos before, comparing them with these latest photos of the Cupra Terramar give us a better idea of just how much sharing will be done… or perhaps where more extreme variants such as the RS Q3 may also end up in final form. #Audi #AudiClubNA #AudiQ3
