Senior Account Sales Manager- Wayfair

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President - Senior Account Sales Manager to oversee and grow our partnerships with Wayfair. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Wayfair systems, advertising platforms, and e-commerce strategies, paired with a proven track record of building in-store and online sales. Additionally, the candidate should have familiarity with marketplace and drop-ship vendor (DSV) programs to further enhance product reach and revenue streams. This leader will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive forecasting, planning, and execution, delivering measurable results across these critical accounts.
This is how you can contribute to our success (Responsibilities):
- Strategic Account Management: Lead all aspects of the Wayfair account, including forecasting, planning, and execution of sales strategies for both in-store and e-commerce platforms.
- Sales Growth: Identify opportunities for growth in e-commerce, marketplace, and drop-ship vendor (DSV) programs, leveraging analytics, trends, and consumer insights to maximize ROI.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, supply chain, and product development, to ensure alignment and execution of account goals.
- Wayfair Expertise: Utilize deep knowledge of Wayfair systems, to optimize sales processes and operational efficiency.
- Advertising Optimization: Develop and execute comprehensive advertising strategies on Wayfair's platforms, to enhance product visibility and sales performance.
- Marketplace & Drop-Ship Programs: Expand marketplace and DSV initiatives to ensure seamless integration, optimal pricing, and increased product availability for Wayfair.
- Retail Execution: Collaborate with merchandising teams to secure prime in-store placements, including endcaps, displays, and seasonal features, ensuring a strong brand presence.
- Forecasting and Planning: Partner with demand planning and supply chain teams to accurately forecast inventory needs and ensure optimal stock levels to meet customer demand.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders at Wayfair and internal teams, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
- Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on sales performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Functional/Technical Competencies:
- Monitoring and accounting for account forecasts with demand & planning teams.
- Forecast shipments, monitor, and analyze POS of key products to Wayfair.
- Accountable for preparation, planning, and delivery of sales presentations.
- Maintaining monthly account forecasts and creating annual budgets.
- Responsible for weekly business reporting on the business.
- Responsible for day-to-day operations with the key account.
- Communicating consistently and efficiently with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, Finance, Product Development, Customer Service, and Quality.
- Ability to analyze retail sales data with translation into strategic direction.
- Strong written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Ten years of experience in sales or account management, with at least 5 years managing Wayfair accounts.
- Expertise in Wayfair’s systems, advertising platforms, and retail operations.
- Proven track record of driving growth in e-commerce, marketplace, and drop-ship vendor programs, as well as securing in-store placements.
- Familiarity with marketplace and drop-ship vendor processes and requirements for major retailers.
- Exceptional leadership and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, develop insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Highly motivated, results-oriented, and eager to exceed sales targets.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Willingness and ability to travel to corporate headquarters once per month.
