Tax Associate

Our client is a real estate firm. They seek a Tax Associate to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare real estate partnership, S Corp, C Corp, Trust, and Individual tax returns
• Assist CFO with Individual tax and estate planning
• Support the calculation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances
• Prepare and publish timely financial statements
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting including annual audits
• Complete month-end and year-end close process including cash reconciliations
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Uphold compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements

Requirements

• 2+ years of tax accounting experience
• Public or private accounting background
• Real estate industry background
• GAAP knowledge preferred
• Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
• Excellent communication and service skills
• CPA required
• Skilled in CCH and MRI
