Senior Civil Structural Engineer

Clayton Services is searching for a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join a thriving company in Humble, Texas. The Senior Civil/Structural Engineer will oversee the design, analysis, and detailing of platform structures, foundations, and associated connections.

Job Type: Direct Hire

Pay Rate: $150,000-$175,000/annually

Senior Civil/Structural Engineer Responsibilities:

• Conduct preliminary design and cost estimation for project quotations.
• Develop platform structures and associated connection designs.
• Design platform column foundations, including slabs, piers, piles, and footings as needed.
• Structural analysis using RISA 3D (FEA) and MathCad or similar software.
• Modeling and detailing on Autodesk Advance Steel
• Utilize software like Fabtrol to nest materials and create shop NC files.
• Prepare client approval drawings, engineering drawings, shipping and lashing drawings, and installation drawings.
• Review and approve engineer drawings.
• Communication and collaboration with various departments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Senior Civil/Structural Engineer Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to perform structural analysis using RISA 3D (FEA), MathCad, or similar software.
• Ability to model and detail in Autodesk Advance Steel
• Ability to manage materials utilizing Advance Workshop or comparable software.

Senior Civil/Structural Engineer Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 5-8 years of experience in structural steel design and analysis, familiarity with concrete foundation design and analysis.
