Job Description

The Goltz Group is seeking a Controller for a leadership position in a collaborative environment to join our legendary company. This position will continue to contribute to the growth of the business by directing and overseeing the accounting activities of the company, directing the preparation of financial statements and summaries, help key leaders navigate accounting, pricing cost allocations, etc, and identifying opportunities for improvement to net income.

This hands-on position reports to the President/Founder (who recognizes there are areas of improvement), and looks forward to working with someone who has experience and insights that will help the organization. The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy and experienced with modernizing legacy systems. This is a great opportunity for a self-directed individual to “own their role” and to make a real and direct impact on the business.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Managing all operations in the accounting department, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledgers, cost accounting, revenue recognition and inventory accounting
• Coordinating and directing budgetary and financial forecasts
• Coordinating regulatory reporting
• Preparing and publishing monthly financial statements
• Researching technical accounting issues for compliance
• Ensuring quality control for financial reporting and transactions
• Managing and complying with reporting requirements and tax filings for local, state and federal government
• Developing and documenting accounting policies and business processes to strengthen internal controls
  
  

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required
• Eight to ten years of experience in financial management
• Experience with privately-held companies is a plus
