The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with a strong background in real estate accounting to join our client’s growing team. This is a critical, hands-on role focused on full-cycle bookkeeping across multiple entities and accounts. You’ll be the backbone of the accounting operations—tracking rent payments, handling payables/receivables, and helping maintain financial clarity across the real estate portfolio.
This position reports directly to the Financial Reporting Lead and works closely with the leadership team. It’s an ideal role for someone who is great at what they do, takes ownership of their work, and is looking for a long-term home.
What You’ll Do
· Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable for multiple properties
· Manage rent collections, including tenant outreach and payment tracking
· Record receivables and process vendor payments via Chase Bill Pay
· Maintain accurate records across 50+ bank accounts and legal entities
· Support daily and monthly bookkeeping functions for 15 properties
· Assist with ongoing transition to paperless systems
· Collaborate with the Financial Reporting Lead on special projects and reconciliations
What We’re Looking For
· 2-year degree in Accounting or a related field (required)
· Real estate bookkeeping experience is a must
· Proficiency in managing high volumes of transactions and working across multiple entities
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Reliable, consistent, and comfortable in a small, in-office environment
