Job Summary: Under direct supervision, performs a wide range of office administration duties for assigned function or programs areas in the Managed Care and Rehabilitation Division of the State Board of Workers' Compensation; duties may be complex in nature and may involve access to confidential information. May research, investigate, and/or resolve program data or issues; drafts documentation, reports, or presentations; represents program or unit; provides information and assistance to internal and external customers.
Duties & Responsibilities: Provides personal assistance and advanced secretarial/clerical support to the rehabilitation coordinators: completes administrative tasks, file review and research, and special projects as requested. This will include, but not be limited to, proof reading and editing documents; preparing documents; understanding and navigating computer claim files; interacting with internal/external customers; scheduling numerous conferences, both in-person and via remote video, for 4-8 participants. May represent the manager in various matters; provides administrative support to assigned areas; provides assistance and problem resolution to claimants, employers, staff, other agencies, and/or the general public; provides program, administrative, and/or technical assistance and interpretation; performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision and work cooperatively with others. Must have excellent computer skills to learn and work in the Agency's system. Telephone etiquette is a must; able to speak with attorneys, rehabilitation/medical professionals, and injured workers in a professional manner.
Minimum Training & Experience: Associate's degree from an accredited college or university AND Two years of related experience OR Four years of related experience.
