Summary

Summary/Objective

The Accounting Manager is responsible for weekly payroll submission as well as AR and GL responsibilities in Accounting Department. The manager is accountable for the efficiency, accuracy and productivity of all assigned task and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll with Kronos Dimensions & ADP.
  • Functions as an expert in the Kronos Dimensions to include data entry, knowledge of all functions, creating and generating reports, and processing payroll accurately and on-time.
  • Stay up to date on payroll regulations and laws.
  • Review payroll data to ensure compliance with company policies and laws.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate data exchange.
  • First point of contact for any questions regarding the payroll system, troubleshoots any problems, provides systems training to new managers and provides basic tech support to colleagues.
  • Reconcile and submit union reporting on a weekly and monthly basis .
  • Work with confidential data, which, if disclosed, might have significant internal effect or minor external effect.
  • Complete month end and year end journals and processes meeting all deadlines.
  • Participate in review of P&L to ensure financial accuracy,
  • Oversee Accounts Receivable for the hotel coordinating with Hyatt Shared Services.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by Director of Finance or Assistant Director of Finance.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledgeable of payroll, a strong leader and a proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills to prioritize and coordinate a variety of tasks and assignments
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Previous Accounting/Finance experience with a minimum of two years prior experience, preferably in a union hotel environment
  • Knowledge and experience with financial accounting systems
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
  • Must be able to support Hyatt's purpose by identifying opportunities to display authentic human care to guests and colleagues so they can be their best.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000 Annually
