As a result of a meeting in 2017, we noticed that even as the number of translation programs was increasing, the number of translation consultants was decreasing. This required teams to think creatively about how to train and mentor more new translation consultants. With the pace of Bible translation continuing to accelerate, Wycliffe developed an accelerated apprenticeship program called Convergence! Dave shared how the program equips new Bible translation consultants with both classroom knowledge and hands-on experience in less than five years. The Migaama community in Chad celebrated a huge milestone in December 2021 — the dedication of the New Testament in their language! 🎉The celebration was filled with joy, music and traditional dancing. Local churches and community leaders gathered alongside the translation team to mark this incredible moment. The most impactful part of the dedication for those who helped start the translation program was witnessing how deeply people who engaged with Scripture had grown in their faith and walk with God — clear evidence that God is powerfully at work through His Word! Pray that God will continue working through His Word, transforming lives in the Migaama community for generations to come. https://wycliffe.link/gt2 #Celebrate

With a passion for literacy, Humbelina and her team created primers to meet pre-literacy and basic literacy needs of the women in their community in Peru. As the women in the literacy classes began to experience God's Word, Humbelina witnessed the transformational impact of literacy. She said, “When we share [God's Word] with women, they don’t keep it to themselves. They share it with their children; they share it with other women. The Word of God ... is what has an impact in people’s hearts, and it’s what changes people’s lives.” Read her story: https://wycliffe.link/eyy #Impact

The local church in the Pacific is excited about translation and has said, “We want to do this!” Check out these photos from a recent field coordinator training in Solomon Islands! Rev. Jo Tuitoga, a field coordinator with Global Partnerships, said: “I can see that one of the strengths of [church-based Bible translation] is bringing the translation work to the church to be part of their ministry.” Read more at our blog: https://wycliffe.link/u1v #Training #Global
