Nationwide Litigation Boutique. Elite Team. Incomparable Record.

About us

Watstein Terepka is an elite litigation and compliance boutique law firm with best-in-class attorneys and an impeccable track record handling sophisticated disputes across the country for some of the most notable brands. We have, for example, defended nearly 500 national class actions in over 30 states with billions in exposure and have never had a class certified against a client, even for settlement purposes. On the compliance side, we have conducted dozens of comprehensive exposure audits of consumer-facing practices, helping clients avoid billions more in exposure, and written consumer-facing terms and arbitration programs for some of the country’s most prominent companies. The firm was founded with a singular mission: to provide aggressive, tenacious, and creative representation that yields results. We do this by hiring and promoting the most talented young lawyers, emphasizing creativity and collaboration, and working hard and smart. But we also recognize that practicing at the highest level doesn’t mean wearing suits or going into the office every day. We instead emphasize and reward results over ceremony. And our entire team unites around the core principle that achieving the best possible results for clients is exhilarating.

  • We are thrilled to announce that Watstein Terepka LLP has promoted Matthew Keilson to partner! Matt is an extraordinary lawyer who has been working with our team for around seven years. In that time, he has defended scores of consumer class actions — and has consistently delivered excellent results for our clients. Matt has been recognized by Chambers and Partners as an “Associate to Watch” and by Georgia Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” since 2020. Matt’s promotion is an important milestone for the firm. Since our founding less than two years ago, we have grown from six to nineteen team members. And now we’ve made our first new partner since founding. Please join us in congratulating Matt!

  • We hope you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving with your loved ones! Speaking of safe, our Director of Ops and resident photographer wants to assure everybody that the area this photo was taken was 💯 safe to get to and absolutely zero risk was involved. 😅🍂 **Photo taken at the Rocky River Reservation in Cleveland, OH with minimal risk to life and limb. As our firm grows, we have a lot to be thankful for this year. But a few things stand out: 1. Several new arrivals for team members, including a baby girl for Keith Dye just yesterday! 2. Clients that place great trust in us to handle their most interesting and important matters. 3. Several great additions to the team, including most recently Will Moore, Lauren Meeler, and Logan Leonard. 4. Our continued winning streak, including several recent case-ending decisions in a variety of different putative class actions.

Over the last few months, I’ve had the privilege of arguing numerous dispositive motions in a variety of different class actions across the country. We won every single one.   Why?   Because we are a relatively new litigation boutique with no brand name and no internal referral network. So we MUST win if we want to continue getting hired. That's our mindset with every motion we file. It’s amazing how the mindset of caring deeply translates to results.   That’s why I tell young lawyers that “giving a ****” is the most important attribute that determines whether you are successful in this field. You MUST buy in and you MUST care, really care, if you want to win over clients, courts, and the supervising lawyers who make decisions about your career.

  • What a way to cap off the week! 🎸🎵 The weather wasn't cooperating, but we enjoyed a night out and attended the Kings of Leon: Can We Please Have Fun concert. We may say this often, but we cannot emphasize it enough: we’re so appreciative of our team’s hard work, our families, whose never-ending support nourishes our growth, and our clients, who continue to place their trust in us.
