Are you due for a colorectal cancer screening? Yes, if any (or all) of these apply to you: - if you’re age 45 or older - if you have symptoms like bloody poop or abdominal pain — regardless of your age - anyone who’s at high risk for colorectal cancer (due to family history or other reasons) Regular screenings can help find polyps before they develop into cancer. Yet 1 in 3 people who should get tested for colorectal cancer have never been screened. If that’s you, talk to your doctor about setting up your screening today.

Managers—you can be the voice that normalizes proactive health management. Supporting your team in scheduling life-saving screenings can make all the difference. For World Cancer Day, we’re sharing a few tips on how to encourage and empower your team to take action: 1) Block time on calendars for your team to research and schedule recommended screenings 2) Encourage them to leverage time off options for health appointments and screenings (If your company offers Screening Time Off, that’s a great benefit to emphasize.) 3) Offer to help in creating a coverage plan so employees feel comfortable taking time off Bonus: Work with your company’s coordinator to incentivize screening behavior.

Let’s stop tip-toeing around certain parts of our anatomy. Because if we normalize talking about these body parts, we can help normalize talking about their associated cancers. In honor of National Cervical Cancer Awareness Month (January), we’re starting with cervical cancer. #WorkingwithCancer #WorkingwithCancerInitiative
