Col. Margaret Berryman, Fort Stewart U.S. Army Medical Department Activity commander and Winn ACH director, in her opening remarks, detailed the hospital’s legacy of excellence, established in 1983, and its mission to ensure the health and readiness of warfighters. • Winn Army Community Hospital Director and Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield U.S. Army Medical Department Activity Commander Col. Margaret Berryman presented a session on self-leadership Jan. 14 in the hospital's Patriot Auditorium to more than 70 staff and Soldiers. Her interactive discussion--part of a series of leadership professional development opportunities being offered at Winn--asked leaders to consider why their leadership matters, to accept and grow from mistakes, and to not focus on the "why" of an issue, but the "what" so it can be resolved. Have you used this tactic? What other tactics do you find valuable when it comes to leading yourself? Don't forget to take a look at the flyer on our profile to see upcoming leadership development sessions.
