Our family farm focuses on regenerative land management, humane animal husbandry, and revitalizing our rural community.

About us

White Oak Pastures is a six generation family farm in the rural town of Bluffton, Georgia. We practice what we call radically traditional farming. Every day, we butcher meat from animals raised in a regenerative manner using humane animal management practices. This is no easy task, but it is our passion. To operate our vertically integrated, zero-waste model, it takes 165+ caring people working together to accomplish a common goal: taking care of our land, our livestock, and our rural community.

  • "We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children." -Native American Proverb As we celebrate Earth Day, remember that our time on this planet is short. Whether we spend our days regenerating or degrading our soils is our choice. Our decisions will one day be celebrated or paid for by our children and grandchildren. At White Oak Pastures and the Center for Agricultural Resilience (CFAR), we choose to leave a legacy of life for our future generations.

  • We are incredibly grateful for Amely Greeven and the hard work she put in to help Will create A Bold Return to Giving a Damn. Regenerative farmers tend to think in cycles: birth, life, death, decay, spring, summer, fall, and winter. But, book writing is different - there is a beginning, a middle, and an end. Having Amely help wrangle and organize Will's thoughts and stories is what made Bold Return the book it shaped up to be. If you haven't had a chance to check it out, please do- it's been a gift to share our story with so many passionate eaters and readers.

  • Regenerative agriculture is not very scalable. But, it is incredibly replicatable. And, that's the answer to true food security - farmers feeding their communities. SB144 is still on the Governor Kemp's desk for signature. While farms like ours can't feed the world, we also can't feed the world while exempting pesticide companies from public influence. Find a local food producer, and give them your support.

  • Will Harris spends a tremendous amount of time talking about the balance necessary to operate a vertically integrated food system, which he often compares to the three legs on a stool: production, processing, and sales/distribution. Thank you for having us on your podcast Nicole Shanahan. We are grateful for your friendship and all of the work you are doing for the farming community.

  • Join us Saturday, April 26th, for an enriching workshop led by the esteemed Yolanda Hatch, retired Navy Veteran and passionate Community Herbalist, as she unveils the wonders of Spring herbal tonics. In this immersive experience, you'll delve into spring weed and herb exploration, the benefits of spring herbs, and an approach to holistic medicine making. Don't miss out - secure your spot today!
