Embedding industry’s top technologists and innovators within federal agencies. Proudly part of TTS and GSA.
About us
The Presidential Innovation Fellows (PIF) program embeds industry’s top technologists, entrepreneurs, and innovators within federal agencies to improve the way our government builds, designs, and delivers services. Hand-in-hand with federal agency partners, we identify impactful innovation projects of critical agency and/or national priority. Our team annually recruits outstanding private-sector talent into our program - a tech job unlike any other. PIF embeds our fellows within agencies as senior advisors. With our agency partners, our fellows advise, prototype, and scale solutions using industry best practices across data science, design, engineering, product, and systems thinking. Our fellows serve as both strategic advisors and practitioners who build, test, and ship solutions. To learn more about PIF, visit pif.gov.

Last month, PIF Ha-Hoa Hamano and her colleagues at NASA welcomed a group of PIFs to the Goddard Space Flight Center! 🚀 They took a tour of NASA’s Spacecraft Magnetic Testing Facility which is used to determine if technology will still work in space without Earth's magnetic field and discussed the impact of a strong solar flare from the night before with the heliophysics and solar weather teams. https://lnkd.in/e_VSQxWY The group also had the opportunity to see models hosted by the CCMC (Community Coordinated Modeling Center), which has democratized access to space science and solar weather models. https://lnkd.in/e_E2QyqZ What a great experience! ⭐
