#Norway is the world's largest exporter of #clipfish, reaching more than 50 countries, in many of which - such as #Brazil, #Portugal and the #DominicanRepublic - it is an essential #ingredient of traditional #Easter dishes. 🇳🇴🐟➡️🇧🇷🇵🇹🇩🇴 🎯 Some curious #facts:  🔹 In 2024, Norway exported clipfish worth nearly NOK 5.9 billion. 🔹 The Portuguese are the world champions in clipfish consumption with an average intake of 17.5 kg per person per year, followed by Jamaicans and Dominicans, with averages of 6 and 5 kilos, respectively. 🔹 Norwegians are "light eaters" when it comes to their own clipfish. According to its #Q1 2025 #trading #update, SalMar harvested 19.28% less than last year. 🇳🇴🐟📉 📌 The negative trend was repeated in all of the company's #farming segments except Northern Norway, which grew by 10.28% compared to Q1 2024. 📌 While in total figures #IcelandicSalmon was the division with the lowest harvest, the #offshore operation SalMar Ocean had the biggest decline compared to last year, down 75%. 📢 "The focus has been on building biomass during the period.
